Effective June 30, 2026, Louisiana Central Credit Union will officially merge with Firemen’s Federal Credit Union. As part of this transition, all of your accounts, loans, and services will become part of Firemen’s Federal Credit Union. You will be receiving information on converting your accounts.
We are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible and look forward to serving you with the same personalized service you have come to expect, along with expanded products, services, and branch access.
As we complete the migration of all accounts, all future transactions will need to use the Firemen’s Federal routing number and full 13-digit account number. This will ensure deposits and withdrawals are being applied to the proper account. Please watch for emails and statement inserts for information concerning your new accounts.

Important Information About Your LA Central Credit Card
As part of the merger, your Louisiana Central Credit Union credit card account will automatically transfer to the equivalent Firemen’s Federal Credit Union credit card account. Your current interest rate will remain the same.
If you currently participate in the Louisiana Central Credit Union rewards program, please redeem all available rewards points by August 15, 2026. Any unused rewards points remaining after this date will be forfeited and can no longer be redeemed.
A new Firemen’s Federal Credit Union credit card will be mailed to you at no cost. Once you receive your new card, please activate it according to the instructions provided.
Your existing Louisiana Central Credit Union credit card will no longer be active after 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on August 31, 2026.
If you have not received your new credit card by August 15, 2026, please contact our Member Service Center at 504-889-9090 for assistance.
Checking and Savings Accounts
Your checking & savings accounts will be transferred over to the equivalent Firemen’s Federal deposit account. Your funds will be visible in these accounts no later than August 31, 2026. If you have a Debit/ATM card associated with your LA Central Credit Union checking and savings account, a new Firemen’s Federal Credit Union Debit/ATM card will be mailed to you free of charge. Your existing LA Central Credit Union debit card will no longer be active after 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on August 31, 2026. If you have not received your new Debit/ATM card by August 15, 2026, please reach out to us at 504-889-9090 .
Online Banking
Once you’re in Online Banking, make sure you sign up for eStatements. It is quick, secure, and environmentally friendly. Should you wish to continue receiving your statements in the mail, a paper statement fee will be posted to your account every statement cycle. eStatements are free to all members.
